How do I place an advertisement?
Simply click on the button, all we need to know is your email address, your phone
number and which area of Cumbria you are based in. When you provide
this information we will send your Password to you by email.
That's all. You are then free to advertise throughout Cumbria.
How do I buy through this site?
Go to the section you are interested in. Use the simple selection options to limit
the list to the area, or areas, you are interested in - you can also limit the
search to sales and/or wanted advertisements if you wish (by default all areas
and all advertisements are selected). When you view the details of the
advertisement you can simply click on the email link to send an email direct to
the seller, or contact the telephone number shown. You deal direct with the
seller, CumbrianMart plays no part in any transactions - we only bring sellers
and buyers together. Please note that none of the details shown on
this website are legally binding, they may contain mistakes - they may not
be used as evidence when entering into a contract.
Can I delete my advert when the item is sold?
Yes, log-in and click on the "View all my ads" link at the top of the page - one of
the options next to each ad to delete it.
Can I edit an advert I have placed?
It is not possible to edit an existing ad - but it is just as easy to create a new
one and delete the old one. It is possible to copy and paste the text (if you
know how to do this).
My advert has been on for a while and it is moving down the page as it gets
older, can I bring it back to the top?
If your ad has been on for a while, you may wish to delete it and create a new one so
that it appears at the top of the list. You do not need to do this - you
can refresh your ad, it has the same effect. Log-in and click on the "View all
my ads" link at the top of the page - one of the options next to each ad to
refresh it. Or you can refresh all.
How do I Logout?
You are automatically logged out when you leave our website, you are also
logged out after a period of inactivity. You do not need to log out.
What am I responsible
for as a Seller?
By placing any advertisement on this site you declare that it is
a lawful activity. You agree to use this facility responsibly and not to cause
any offence.
What are my rights as a Buyer?
All information provided on this website is for guidance only, there
is no accuracy guarantee of any details. When buying privately, all goods are
sold as seen. We recommend that you check all goods thoroughly before
buying. When buying from a trader you have additional rights under the law,
however it is still our recommendation that you check all goods thoroughly
before buying.
Responsibilities of the website owner
We do not accept any responsibility for the accuracy of any
information provided. We take measures to deter criminal activity and to
prevent abusive behaviour. We reserve the right to exclude any
user/advertisement without providing any justification.
